hello Susan, The Polmaise in the FALLIN and Airth of Stirling, as to the gamekeepers place of work, the only big estate in the area was the Earl of Dunmore estate, made famous by the Pineapple shape house he built, on his return from america, You should try the site www.scotlandspeople. gov.uk a small fee of £6 for 30 credits. I'm almost sure it's near Bannockburn, try putting it into google and see what comes up!

Can anyone tell me where Polmaise, Stirlingshire is? My great grandmother was born there but I have not been able to find it on any map. Her father was a gamekeeper so could it be the name of the place where he worked. Susan
