My Great Grandfather was in world war one he was always getting in trouble, drinking too much etc. and spending time in army jails, he was based in Wales somewhere for this reason apparently. How could I find out more. thanks Jackie

Hi there. Every Army Barracks has a guardroom, also known to the soldiers as the Gaol or Nick. Sounds like your interesting ancestor could have been in any one of them. Aye. Keith
