Has anyone been on this site? It is a pay per view, but I wondered if it was worth it ? Can anyone help me please?

An excellent site, although can work out quite expensive. There is a thread on here somewhere that gives a list of previously searched names. Could be worth a look at first

excellent site especially if you can narrow down what you are looking for.

Bear in mind that you search on the first 3 letters of the surname only, so if you were looking for eg. Matthews you would get pages beginning MAT including Mata, Mate etc before your Matthews. It's OK if you have an unusual surname or if your relatives' first name begins with A or Z because you can guess which page to look at first, but as you have to pay per page it can be expensive if you have say 5 or so pages of MAT to go through, especially if you need to check spelling variants. Sometimes the quality of the page is not too great either, particularly in the early sections where it is handwritten in old script. But if you have a fairly good idea about the year or it is impossible to get up to the FRC then it's excellent and does have the advantage of completeness. As with all computer searches it helps to have a good idea of what exactly you are looking for first.
