HELLO i am looking patrick madden from canada ontario born around 1916 come to liverpool around 1940 to 1950 work on a boat called the puru or priellie somethink like that from liverpool around 1944 stayed in a place called gambie terrce in liverpool a place for sailer's had a sis called helen and more but dont know there names that is all know i am willing to pay or donat a we amount

Ian, Here's a tip to help you get the most out of this site: You're not going to get many more offers of help if you keep posting the same question (I've seen at least 7 or 8) and then deleting your thread along with all the replies and kind offers of help without even acknowledging people's efforts. Duplicating lookups is a waste of everyone's time. Crista

Crista, Ian is new to the boards and although i have found the same thing, keep looking for the thread to see how he's getting on and its gone, i believe he posted an apology yesterday (although he's deleted it again). I did the same thing when i started on here. I kept deleting my threads until someone explained that others kept looking for it. Hopefully, Ian will read this and realise... Pam

Crista, Ian emailed me direct with an acknowledgement Ian, Thanks for that acknowledgement. I was a little surprised that you were able to say that the sites I'd suggested were no good so quickly though, specially as one of them contained loads of links to other sites. I know its frustrating not to have instant info but if you keep following up all the leads you will eventually get there, even if by then you're as old and grey as me:-) Judith
