What names are Es, Ev or Ez and Effie short for? (

Esther, Esme? I think Effie is a name on it`s own (if you see what I mean!) I`m sure I`ve seen Ez as an abbreviation of Elizabeth, but I stand to be corrected! Ev could be Evelyn? |

Effie Gray, who married the art critic John Ruskin, was really Euphemia - you can see why she preferred Effie! Es could be Esme or Esmerelda Ev could be Evangeline or Evadne Ez - got me stumped, but possibly something long and Biblical? |
