hi - in my ongoing quest to find details ogf my grandfather - WILLIAM BYFORD - i have found a certificate commemorating his efforts in the great war(1914-1919) - the regement is 1/4TH YORK & LANCASTER REGMT i also have a photo of his regement - is there a website that could give me details, poss a D.O.B? MANY THANX SAM |

PRO Website has now soldiers records for 1914-18 up to surnames beginning with H. Just enter name and as you have his number just click on the entry and it will cost you 3pounds to download the details |
