Morning all I ordered 7 certs on 1 April, was given a despatch date of 19th April! Came in from shopping this morning and they had been delivered! What's more, they are all there, and they are all the right ones - no rogues!! So a very happy start to my Saturday Debbie

Hi All, I thought I would order from the local office for my husbands grandfather and grandmothers death certs. they were very good because we had details, only waited 2 days for it to come the other one they said they could not find so in the end I had to get it from FRO, so it does not always mean they have got a record. Nicola If you're going by age at death remember it could be a year out. Do you know his birthday?

I had a refund of £4 on a certificate the numbers were right but I put March instead of September. £3 for a silly mistake. Mary

Because of the long wait everyone seems to be having, I went straight to the local RO and ordered the certificate I wanted. It cost the same as ordering online and the lady said it will be with me by beginning of next week (that's ONE week's waiting). I know it's too late for those of you who have already ordered but it might be worth thinking about for the future.

Can anyone tell me, when you get a refund and the explanation letter, do they all say the same. ?Every letter I've had has just said that the middle name didnt match, even when I havent put one in and I know the date is correct. Its driving me mad!

I ordered 3 certificates on line back on the 24th (3 weeks ago) dispatch date was 8th April. I received 2 of them on the 7th, but still havent received one birth certificate. I phoned stockport this morning and they told me they cant tell me if its been dispatched or if im going to get a refund, because they havent reached my order number yet on refunds. ARGHHHHHHH!!!! I especially wanted this certificate before this weekend as it was going to be a christening present. Stockport told me they would call me back today about it, but I'm not holding my breath! and I know the details I gave when I ordered the cert where correct as I got them when I was at FRC the other month.

Daphne did the surname begin with "D" because I have 5 of those. Pat

Today I received certificates Hurray but I had ordered 4 and received 6. Only 1 of the six was for me the other 5 (death certs) were for a family begining with D the location of deaths being Chichester and Surrey. I do know the surname begining with D but feel it might be a breach of privacy to put it on here. So there is someone out there who probably wants to move on in there tree and I have the certs. I have notified ONS by E- mail about the error but it does make me cross when we have waited 2 weeks only to get the wrong ones. Ok my moan for the day over Pat
