Hi folks, GC couldn't cope with my family's tendancy to marry relatives either. Not surprising as, using Family Historian to work out relationships between people on my tree, I find that I am my own 6th cousin once removed! LOL Judith (my 4XGt Grandfather married his uncle's grand daughter). |

You have totally confused me with that one, Abigail!! I have also found, since doing my family tree, that my paternal grandparents were cousins. Have also got one ancestor from one side of the family marrying into another side. Also got a few more strange relationships (legal ones!!) that I wouldn't really know how to explain! Maggy |

Yes, I have at least one of those but even worse I have my great uncle from my great grandfathers first marriage marrying my great aunt from my great grandmothers first marriage. I am the eldest great grandaughter from their (second) marriage to each other! So how do you map that one to put on the wall? Regards Abigail |

Mary The system is sadly lacking as it cannot cope with cousins marrying. I drew this to the attention of GC months ago and they said they would consider modifications. Meanwhile, there is no alternative but to enter the cousins twice! David |

Can anyone tell me how to record on my tree first cousins who married - do I enter one twice or can I link them some how? Many thanks Mary |
