Don't forget waht Jill said. Some registrars did put times on all births, so make sure your not looking for births that never happened. Bob

Record for time between birth of twins is about 3 months and to make it worse one has one year on birth cert and the other has the next year! imagine future generations working that one out LOL!!

Margaret is correct about times when its twins. My twin boys have time of birth on their certificates. Gives the older by 9 mins one-up-man-ship! Viv

Christine, No not Scottish birth, Suffolk but it was because I saw that Scottish births had times that I wondered. Jill, I wish they were ALL over-zealous, I find it fascinating. Sue

Sue , unless it is a Scottish birth, which always shows the time of birth. Christine.

Sometimes the time of birth didn't mean a multiple birth. Some Registrars were over-zealous.

Thanks Margret, It is the first cert I have had with the time of birth on so I was not sure. No record of another childs birth or death so I would assume that the other child must have either been dead at birth or soon after. Sue
