For some reason I seem to have lost half of my names, I have just gone to PAF and I am not sure what I have done, I know a box came up yesterday to say searching for your file but I think I may have clicked the wrong back up please can someone tell me how to get back to all the names on it.

Karen I have the paf 5 but it happened some time ago that I lost some of my names and some kind person told me what to do, but I didn't save the tip, can that person please please tell me again what to do? I have saved the info it is on two floppy discs, but not sure how that will work, I need it on my computer to add to.

Put each floppy into the A drive in turn and check which is the latest version of the file by looking at the details via Windows Explorer. Either double click on the file name to open it and then use "Save As" or else copy it back onto the hard drive with Explorer.

Brian, Thankyou very much I knew it could be done, but forgot how to do it, I seem to have paf backed up with about six names so I just looked at the latest one and hey presto you saved my life. I have it saved on 2 floppy's, is it possible when it comes up to say if you want it backing to put a disc in instead and save on that would that hold all my info I have about 1800 names and information, also is it possible to back up i.e to back up on floppy then next time back up on desk top?
