Am trying to find information on several business' in London in the 1800's and 1900's. Can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks

I have asked a similar question and was told about a publication called Kelly's trade directory. My library only had this year's copy but perhaps bigger libraries or record offices may hold older ones. Also if you know the area I wonder whether the phone books would hold any info. I have one of my grandmother's which has their first business advert and phone number in - they were a grocers. Regards Abigail

Thanks, I've checked out the weblink and although its going to take me awhile to go through it looks really promising. It also has the Kelly's guide on there too. Also checked out www.victorianlondon.org thats been helpful too. Hope this helps others too.Thanks again!
