Freda.Your outgoing email should be in something like the "sent" folder. If you have some sort of spam filtering running this acts on incoming mail and sends it to a folder like "spam" or "junk" (depends what your using) are you saying that the message in spam is the one you sent, or the reply? Hi, I can only speak for myself but I have received an e-mail sent to me by a member of genes connected this weekend, so the system is working for me. Hopefully you will get replies to your e-mails eventually. Rosemary

Hi Freda, I sometimes wonder if e-mails are sent and received, Then I was talking to someone the other day with reference to e-mails I'd sent to old school chums on Friends and she said that it could be that they have changed their internet servers or even their computers and had to have changed their e-mail addresses, so we will just have to wait and see if they search again on GC and see a connection with your ancestors and e-mail you. Or it could be that they have gone away on holiday for Easter.(mind you I've been waiting for replies since February.) But it is so frustrating having to wait for replies, but don't give up hope All the best with your research Helen

I too have contacted people that have not replied Freda. Who knows why. I've also spent an eveing doing a "Trying to Find" for somebody, and not even an aknowledgement....Charming! Keep trying, I think I would re send just to make sure

I contacted who I thought was a member of my husbands family over a week ago, but got no reply. On checking my saved E-mails etc, I found the said E-mail in the spam file does this mean that the E-mail has not been sent? Freda
