please can someone tell me where I can get original copies of census returns? I'm able to find copies of the 1901 census but I would like to get original copies of the others. Please help!

If you can visit, the Family Record Centre in London holds census returns 1841 - 1901 for the whole of England and Wales on microfilm or fiche; county records offices usually hold the census returns for their particular county. Online you can see original images of the 1891 and 1871 census at www(.)ancestry(.)co(.)uk if you take out a subscription. Several companies are now selling censuses on CD. Good hunting. Judith
