Many thanks to you all for the brilliant advice, I have temporarily posted some of the names on this board (they WERE sensibly spaced when I typed them out). To those who asked, I'm sorry I don't have any of your names.I have visited David Vickers' site, it seems to be the perfect spot, if he'll take them! John, thanks for your kind offer, would you still like me to email them to you, it would increase the chances of them being seen. I haven't a clue how to set up a website or I wouldn't put you to all that trouble. Please let me know if you are still willing to do this. I'll be posting the names on' trying to find ' as soon as I can, in the meantime, can someone tell me how to nudge messages... do I click on refresh? Thanks again, Pat.

Hello Pat My names include Henderson, McLean, Collie, Bohanna and Martin and Neish. Am I lucky! I have one or two of these cards and my grandad was SO handsome as a young sailor in the Royal Navy. I have his badge now. It is wonderful to see what people looked like - I paid a specialist to repair a very torn and damaged old photo of a christening and it turns out to be the first time I have seen what my great grandmother looked like! Regards Abigail

Why dont you put them on the trying to find section, means putting the last names, just put searching for descendents of.... anyone searching the trying to find section would come across them eventually, of course it may mean more typing for you! Any Hemblings there??? good luck anyway!

If you put the names into the body of your message, the list will not get lost as the replies grow. Jacky:-)
