Ann Blackmore Have you also tried Blackamore Blackmoore Blackmores blakmore Ann Anne Anna Annie Ana A. Sorry but I know from experience that any spelling can be used and dates can really vary Just to add to that I had been looking for Neptune Pike, Found a birth record and a census record then he disappeared, Turned out his nickname was registered on the 1891 census Nipton Pike How are you meant to find that??!! I was very lucky that some angels here on the board found him and my gr gandfather. Keep tring it is worth it in the end. Tracie P.s Be careful of place names too as they can also change!!

As well as nanny, try Nan. And I always thought it was a simple name!! Ann Glos

I have marriage and census records that show the same individual as Ellen, then E., then Elizabeth, ad infinitum. Could be that Ann is a middle name and she is recorded as something else. Having a first name and then A. may be helpful in identifying the right person.

A friend's daughter is known as Annie, but her actual name is Angela. My ancestor was James, but is listed on a census as Joseph -- don't know which was his middle name. Good luck.

My gt grandmother was born Sarah Ann, shows on at least two censuses as just Annie and on death cert as Sarah Annie. My grandmother was born Annie, but known through her life as Nan. Also got another gt gt grandmother who was Ann Hannah - which if you want to be really pedantic is the same name twice!! Maz. XX

One of my great greats was named Mary Ann on her birth certificate, but appears on the census as simply Ann.
