kew gardens and the london records office

what is the difference between kew gardens and the london records office? does one hold different records than the other? Julie

the Family Records Center in London has all the Census on microfilm and some of them have complete or patial indexes. there is also a wills index death duty registers, the original ish BMD indexes. at kew they have the medal role, ww1 service records, 1901 census on microfiche, bmd indexes on microfiche, Pcc wills. that is all of the top of my head if you go to the web sites they ll tell you more.

The Public Record Office now called The National Archive is at Kew, right by the river. It holds documents. Kew Gardens holds National collections of Plants and seeds. Sue
