Hi Lauretta, It's not free but I bought Family Tree Maker Pro V.11. It works on XP and gives a large variety of tree's and reports It also has Gedcom and is easy to use. I bought it on recommendation from others on this website. Naomi

I've been using PAF v5 for the last 6 months, it's free and does most things well. Fairly easy to use too. I have tried a few of the free trials on the Your Family Tree CD's and not fuond one I prefer yet !

If you buy the magazine "Your Family Tree" it has each month a CD with lots of samples of Family tree programmes and other quite useful stuff. Anne

Another free download is Brother's Keeper. Just enter Brother's Keeper in Google and you will find it. It is gedcom compatible.

Genopro, which you can get at www(.)genopro(.)com is an excellent free program. If you're looking to pay for one, Legacy, Family Tree Maker and Historian are a few that a lot of people seem to like. I use both Genopro and Family Tree Maker for the different reports each put out, you can add pictures and documents to both, and info entered into one will work with the other. Judy

I am looking to buy a family tree cd which is compatible with windows 98 and windows XP (just in the event I update my PC). I want one where I can display different combinations without having to keep inserting names for each display. Obviously something related to Gedcom would be best. Any recommendations and possible price please.
