Good starters! http(:)//www(.)census(.)pro(.)gov.uk/ pay per view 1901 census Index is free to view but to get details of household etc 50 to 75p but minimum £5 over 48 hour session http(:)//freebmd(.)rootsweb(.)com/ great for searching from 1837 to about 1904 gives details of births marriages and deaths that were registered. Not exact dates but quarters when registed ideal for ordering certificates as will give you the vol and pg. NOT COMPLETE though http(:)//www(.)familysearch(.)org free to search 1881 census good starting point. The records board on this site loads of friendly people who willingly search their census CDs for you for other British and American census's Happy hunting PS remove the brackets from the websites Penny
