Hi Sarah, I have two certs where I know the father had died, but was not marked as deceased. Rick.

Hi all I am a little confused. On my Grandmother's marriage certificate her Father is listed as (D) which I assume means deceased. On another seperate certificate I have the Father listed as a builder. It looks like he was already deceased on the 1891 Census. They married in the October. There is no (D) adjacent to his name. I hope this makes sense to you. Was (D) always used if the Father was deceased, or was it sometimes left off?? It is so difficult to explain I hope someone out there knows what I mean!!!!! Sarah.XX
