Are the numbers the same? GC vs GEDCOM

I had no cousins marrying etc but I still had around 40 more names in my GC tree than in my GEDCOM!

Russell Think thats because GC doesnt account for cousins etc marrying, so duplicates them Margaret

Has anybody noticed that the number of people in their trees on GC is bigger than the number of people on their GEDCOMs?
