Have you noticed a GC software problem?

No reply from GC as yet. The names were 'added' by me according to my relation, plus I saw them in 'your names' after it was brought to my attention. Malcolm, I always make sure that I am the only person left in my tree (thankyou for pointing out that strange things do happen though). I have had to write out a new tree to post, only of direct ancestors until the problem is sorted. I apologise to people who I have opened my tree to. It could be a mismatch between PAF and GC as the RINs in PAF do not exist anymore, but perhaps GC 'remembers' what was there before - I do not know but it is still upsetting me! Russell

What Andrew is querying is whether there is someone else on here who has a tree with those persons names on it.

Thankyou for taking an interest Siobhan. I hope they can sort out the problem as I have found this site an excellent way of making connections, but at the moment I daren't put my tree back on. Andrew, there is only myself who has access to the computer so I cannot see anybody else being able to post their names

hmmm perhaps they will get back to you on it. I have removed and reposted my tree several times now by a gedcom file with no problems.

I am positive. Plus I have noticed before that there have been more people on my genesconnected tree than on my GEDCOM. I am really upset and angry about this as it seems like I have let my family down.

Hi I don't know how this would of happened. when you a remove a tree it removes everyone apart for the holder of the tree, which in this case would be yourself. Are you sure that these family members are definately removed from your gedcom file that u uploaded.

Hello everyone, I have just received an email from a very disgruntled family member - and I do not blame her! Some time ago, she asked me to remove her family's names from genesconnected. I deleted them from my GEDCOM and removed my tree for a short while. Yesterday, I uploaded my GEDCOM again and their names have reappeared on the site. How can this happen? Needless to say, I am very upset about this, I have removed my tree and have emailed GC with my concerns. Has anybody else noticed a similar problem?? Russell
