Carol, I managed to get a copy of the inquest report for my great unlce who committed suicide in 1947. I initially wrote to the coroner and he informed me that the paperwork was held at the local record office and for a fee of £10 i could get a copy. I wrote to them and within a few weeks i had exactly what i was after .....im sure theyll still hold the records that your after. Demelza.

Does anybody know if it is possible to gain access to a transcription/notes of an Inquest that occurred in 1983? The inquest relates to the suicide of my brother and at the time I was only 18 and too upset to attend the inquest. Looking back now, there is a lot I (and my family) would have liked to know. Where would I go to find out? Thanks, Carol.
