Margaret if I get you right, it is that your search results are returning porn, (there are viruses like q-host which redirect your pages but I don't think that's your problem) The MSN search seems to rely on explorer for it's filters. Have a look at your settings as follows You can use the Content Advisor to disable adult content links that appear in your search results. 1. On the Internet Explorer toolbar, click Tools and then click Internet Options. 2. Click the Content tab. 3. In the Content Advisor section, click Enable. 4. On the Ratings tab, adjust the settings for each type of content and click Apply. The highest setting blocked the blueyonder homepage so may need tweaking, hope this helps. Sorry didn't just catch your reply . Is it these settings you have on high or do you mean security and privacy? Bob

The auto update feature of the google toolbar is not a welcome feature, it should request, but the "spyware" bit is to allow google to improve their search engine as I understand it. Even so this can be turned off. If you find it useful I would carry on using it. Bob

Bob is correct, the Google auto updater can be turned off (the auto updater being the security concern).....which one would only know to do if the fine print of the user agreement is read .....as for cookies, most sites on the internet use them to improve traffic to their sites and for tracking.....easily remedied with routine maintenance and Adaware.
