Can anyone help? I am trying to trace my GG Grandfather Samuel Perrin - on the 1871 census he appears and all the census above living in Bermondsey - all say he was born Bishops Stortford. I know his wifes name is Caroline nee Barker. I beleive him to be born around c1832 and her around c1835. I have hunted for marriage certificates on 1837 and cannot fnd any trace of either of them - any clues as to where else I might look would be really appreciated. Many thanks Vicki

Hi - Yes I found him there - I just don't know where to look and was hoping for some ideas - I expect the only thing I can do will be to go to Bishops Stortford - Vicki

Vicki Just a thought. Why don't you try putting a message on the 'Records Office' Board to see if anyone is going to the Hertfordshire Records office? It may be worth a shot. Someone may be kind and offer to do a lookup for you. Kind Regards Sarah.
