Does anyone know what the Bernau Index is and what does it index?

The Bernau Index is an Index to help you find an ancestor who was a plaintiff/a defendant/or a deponent usually in the 1700's/1800's. The Index is available to view at the SOG in London(Society of Genealogists) Janet
