Just to let you all know, I received a copy of a full birth certificate this morning,and they had put the wrong month. I have just contacted them,and they double checked for me,and yes the lady had put the wrong month,so they are sending me an amended one on return of the other. I knew it was the wrong date having seen the small version. The lady said most of the old registrars had terrible handwriting,so all you transcribers must have a hard job deciphering some doddery old chaps shaky hand.Must have been worse if he had had a few the night before. Just to let you know that mistakes can happen. regards trish |
