Is there a good site where I can look up monumental Inscriptions? Or is it dependent on area?

Hi Lorna, Yes, it very much depends on what area you are interested in. Try familyhistoryonline.net which has some MI databases submitted by various family history societies. Otherwise try searching on 'monumental inscriptions' (or gravestones, headstones etc) plus the place or a church; you might get lucky and find something. The other alternative is to contact the relevant local record office as most family history societies have made it a priority to transcribe them and have usually lodged copies at the record office. Best wishes, Carole
