Hello Paul and Bob It was 1901 census and she was born Birmingham Oxon. I just wondered where it was so I could look it up on the map. I Have never heard of an Oxon in Birmingham. Shirley

Shirley If this is a current address it must be wrong. The postcode might be a better guide if you have it. Dave You are correct. Bob

I always thought Oxon was an abrieviation for Oxfordshire My geography is hopeless best wishes Dave

If you type this into Google search engine comes up with some hotels in oxon part of Birmingham so I would presume is an area within Birmingham? Also good one to try is website www.multimap(.)co(.)uk zoë

I have an address for Birmingham Oxon. Where does the Oxon come from. I have only known Birmingham Warwickshire. Thanks Shirley
