Try Dudley Library, I'm sure they have the parish registers for the area. Give them a ring

I think most of the records at library will be just the BMD's. If you do have success Jenny please let us know. Most of us have a illigitimate birth somewhere. Going to county records offices in either daunting or difficult for most of us. Bob

Hi, The LDS may have filmed the records you need. Have a look in the catalogue on the familysearch site. If they have you can order a film of the records at an LDS centre near you. Gwynne

Try your local county records office, or a large local library may.should have alocal stufies section, they would have the parish records on fiche. Otherwise, if its not a local parish, you may need to pay a visit to the National Archives at Kew...

I've just read the post on illegitimate children. Very helpful My GGgrandfather has his father shown on his marriage cert but a blank space on his birth cert. he was born in Dudley. Where can I see the Parish Records for this area and what am I looking for. have not done any other kind of serach other than internet so quite daunting.
