Just found the address for you: For soldiers and officers whose service ended between 1921 and 1997: Army Personnel Centre, HQ Secretariat, Historical Disclosures, Mail Point 400 , Kentigern House, 65 Brown Street, Glasgow G2 8EX. Good luck!!

Antony, WW2 records are held at Historical Disclosures in Glasgow. It is a very long process to get access and costs £25. You need to be or have permission from the next-of-kin. (You also need to have details of service number and regiments etc. They cannot search without these.) I applied for my father's records last July, with a predicted delay or 3 or 4 months. I know they have found the file, but am still waiting for the copies to be sent out. They are very busy!

Most records are kept at Kew. Go to their site at http://wwwdotnationalarchivesdotgovdotuk/about/new/default.htm (replace dot with . ) thier you can surf around to find what they do hold. But you will either have to go or get somebody to do as I don't think they do research for you. Good Luck, John
