Today we celebrated the birth of about 50 children, half a dozen marriages and the death of a first wife. What a man!!! His name is Geoff. I want everyone to know what a brilliant person he is. Geoff -you did all this on your own. I raise my glass to you. Thankyou for your help Jackie

Where would we be without them! These kind people who help us out. I'll raise a glass with you to Geoff and another to Francoise who I have never met and who spent hours of her own time photocopying my french family certificates giving me over 30 names of my family back to the 1700s. Also to Pam in Oz and others who have put pieces in my puzzle. I hope I can help others in the same way .. best wishes Ann

You (we?) were just lucky that the parish of Navenby has almost as many baptisms and marriages on VRI as the whole of Leicestershire. If I could find the damn place on the 1841 Lincs census, who knows what sweet music we might have made?

*sigh* ----some of us have names that NOBODY else is looking for.....we are all on our lonesome here :-( I can't believe that out of the large families thay my lot had that nobody else is looking for them...or have they just not heard of GC? ever hopeful, Sylvia

Me too! Nobody else seems remotley interested in our lot. I cannot seem to get info out of anybody. Beginning to think maybe there is a skeleton in the cupboard that nobody wants me to let out. There cannot be that many Lashbrooks out there, even fewer as I go back down the years. Just seems to me that I am on my own with this one!

Sylvia -do not despair. No-one else seems to be looking for Wings. I was so lucky that they all came from one area and were extremely prolific (is that the polite way of putting it!). My husband's 2xggrandfather had 14 children -no wonder he died of heart disease and his wife died of asthma!! I was also so very fortunate that Geoff answered my plea on these pages and came to my rescue as it was getting so very confusing with so many little places close by. He had the CDs and the geographical knowledge. A brick in the true sense. Something will turn up, I'm sure. Just keep posting HELP!!!! Jackie
