There is an article on 1837 in thie months Your Family Tree. They are revamping the site and from what was said look forward to any suggestions to improve the site. I was one of the testers before the site went live and I know they took on board a lot of what we told them.

If I could get back on in the first place, I would add to that train of thought. Trying for five days now, and it will not open. Paul

For ages now the 1837-online FAQs have said that they are looking into the possibility of introducing a voucher system, but until then the only way to pay is by credit card. I have e-mailed them a couple of times to ask whether there is any progress on this but have not received any reply. Its very annoying that one of the most valuable resources on the internet is not available to anyone who either doesn't have a credit card (like myself) or who don't like using their card over the internet. Perhaps they don't see enough demand so, everyone, when you get a spare moment send them an e-mail asking if/when vouchers will be available. Maybe if they get swamped with enquiries they'll step-up their efforts to introduce such a system. Simon
