I used to suffer terribly from SPAM mail on my hotmail account. In the end I set the junkmail filter to exlusive, meaning they all go to junkmail folder. I still because fristrated with it though, so registred a new email address. I now get MUCH less SPAM, despite using that address regularly for the last 2 years or so. They all go to Junkmail and I just scan the list for the REAL email that sometimes finds its way there (like people from here who mail), and empty the rest without reading it. What really annoys me though is that I've started getting a load of SPAM mail on my work account, and I have no way of changing that address.

Hi Paul, I really am sorry you cannot do anything about your spam mail. I thought like you that I had the problem solved when I retired, I didn't have to listen to it any more, but oh no, it comes in e-mail package now, instead I SEE it. Denise

Try MAILWASHER. Log in to [email protected] or http://www.firetrust.com If you have difficulty send me your e-mail address to me at [email protected] and I will be able to send it to you.It is run by a guy in New Zealand, it is free initially but he likes a donation, if you wish. It DOES work!! let me know how you get on. Any difficulty type in "mail washer" on yoiur search engine. good Luck Regards Ronald pS I have just seen my message and raealised it will not show my full email address Sorry

Hi Roland, thanks for the help. I had a £5 pension rise last year, he is welcome to that if it is enough for a donation, but then again I might go to the bank and give him all my money to get rid of the e-mails, had TWO this morning. Denise

Hi Just a wee note from another "Mailwasher" fan. Ive had it for years and it works well. Easy to delete spam from your list before it even gets to your mailbox.

Hello Denise, I used to get an awful lot of filthy spam but after I introduced a "message rule" they have virtually (but not completely) gone. In Outlook Express click on Tools then Message Rules, then Mail Rules, then New and create a rule where the TO line contains your specific e-mail address. If the TO line does not contain your specific e-mail address then it is to be deleted at the server. I used to use Mailwasher but found I still had to go down the list to filter out valid e-mails. Dont use it now, just use my "rule" Kind regards - Linda

Hi Roland, there are 20 pages of 'firetrust', it will take me a month of Sundays to find the one you mentioned. Sorry to be a pain, any further information please.
