Lynn, You can also zip the file to reduce size. Any modern machine should have winzip or enter this into google to find a free download. bob

Thankyou Alan and Judy......I'm off to give Alans answer a go...I am trying to send a photo of my husband and I to a new found second cousin...It was becoming very frustrating with the length of time it was taking that I deleted it...so this is second time...wish me luck Thankyou again Lynn

Lynn: In order to change the size of the picture you need to have a photo editing program. If you have a digital camera, the software that came with it has the editing program you need. I also have an excellent program I can snail mail you that will enable you to not only change the size of a photo, but enhance and restore old photos. The program is easy to use and I can walk you through anything you get stuck on. Give me a shout if you're interested. Judy

11mg is a very large file to send by ordinary e-mail unless you have broadband.Reduce the dpi(dots per inch) down to about 75(go to image at the top of your screene and scroll down to image size)also save the image as a j.peg as these are smaller. You need to be looking at a file size of between 200dpi to 600 dpi to get it to send in a reasonable time.

Could anyone shed a light as to why it takes so very long to send an E.mail with an attachment ....It used to be quite a fast process but all of a sudden (about 4 months ago)when I tried to send a mail with attachment I had a mail from (Think) the postmaster saying it was too large and couldn't go...Now today I'm trying to do it again but is a photo 11.2mb too large and can I remedy this problem Lynn
