I asked the same quetion when i started because everyone seemed to be talking jibberish. I had a great email that explained most things. I'll send it to you direct. |

You can find it on the LDS site. Latter Day Saints where you can find the 1881 census also. Put one of your ancestors in the search engine and if they were born before 1881 they should show up and then below you will see names in the IGI and with luck your ancestor may be there. It might give his christening or marriage etc. However it may not. There is more to it as well but best you stick to this. However please only treat it as a guide and not the 'Bible'.. double check with original resources. Use it as a guide. On my web site at bottom left is a 'Newbies Guide' link, click on this and you will find a mine of info. D/load it or save as it is long but good to refer back to. Good luck John |
