Sorry about that ! I think I've sort of solved it. I finally got the birth certificate through today for my gr-gr-grandfather, Sydney Frank Barnard (which some of you may remember was causing no-end of problems). The parents have been mistranscribed as Barnet, and I was having trouble finding them on 1891 and 1901. I've just realised that they were also mistranscibed as Barnet on the 1891 census - however still can't find them on the 1901 census ! Sorry, for those of you who were expected a juicy puzzle to work out - although do feel free to try and find Jemima nee Knowles/Barnard/Barnet etc and William Barnard/Barnet/Rumplestiltskin !
