sorry its just that I'm so excited :) I have my grandparents names and have found an entry for their marriage in 1943 in Birmingham. although my mother was born just a couple of months later in Lambeth, London I know that she lived in Birmingham when she was around 4yrs of age. So her parents could have left Birmingham, gone down to London and then moved back up to Birmingham again?? does it sound like I've found the right marriage entry do you think?? thank you Elaine p.s. grandmothers surname is fairly unusual.
