I have found my uncles memorial, he died in the 2nd world war age 31. I know his wifes name and the area they lived in, how would I find out if they had any children? any ideas

Hi Tiziana, Try searching the birth indexes on 1837online. From September 1911 the mother's maiden name appears in the indexes, which will help you to sort out which children were possibly theirs. If you don't have his wife's maiden name, you will need to find his marriage first. Best wishes, Carole

Thanxs Carole, Have looked up my uncles marriage cert found his wifes maiden name, they married in 1940 and had a son Roger in 1941, who I am now hoping to trace. Good Advice Tiziana
