Crista, sorry, we love you to bits but it's true - you say tomatoes and I say tomatoes ...!! Judy, I have copied and pasted your advice, which is always worth keeping for reference, but MSN never let me download any attachments these days and flip me back to a window requiring me to enter my password again.

Hey! Less of the Yank bashing please.

Julie: The problem you may be experiencing could be due to the fact that the e-mail sent to you has more than one attachment (meaining more than 1 picture or document) and in order to open a file that has multiple attachments you need to have a program on your computer that is capable of "unzipping" the file. (No special software is needed when you open a single attachment e-mail.) You can find the software needed to open multiple attachments at www.winzip(.)com - remove the ( ) from the address. Download and install the Trial Version ....it works indefinately. After the program is installed, find the file you want to open, RIGHT click on it and a drop down box appears.....choose OPEN WITH WINZIP. You may want to make sure that you have all the latest Microsoft Updates if that isn't something you don't do regurlarly which is part of routine maintenance for your PC. As for MSN, they tend to "censor" your mail and decide what you get and what you don't get....try creating a Y A H O O free e-mail account and have your friend e-mail at that address when sending attachements. Bob, my last message didn't make sense - of course I have an e-mail address - I also know to use 'an' in front of a vowel! This site does not let you say H... and that's the sort of e-mail address I have - know what I mean?

Think the Americans are a bit like rebellious children, they insist on being different even if it doesn’t make sense. They did elect George Bush. Bob

Why can't the Americans write the date properly!!! No time warp then, just brain warp! Many thanks. I'm not on Outlook Express, well, I am, but not for GC; I use a hotmail e-mail address. Have I got something checked?

Julie if you are using outlook express go to tools/options/ security and uncheck the "do not allow attatchments to be opened or saved " option this might be the problem Bob

I have been sent a marriage cert. by a member but I cannot download my attachments. When I right click on 'download' the properties tells me the file was created on 3/06/04. Mmm, I don't think so - unless I'm in a time warp. Is this what is stopping my attachments from downloading? Help anyone?
