Anne Marie No, you can't use the tree posted here at GC to post your tree to another site (or onto your computer.) GC is working on allowing you to do so in the future....that is, retrieving your information from this site. Keep an eye on the homepage of of this site for updates on the subject. Yes, The Times Family Tree program will allow you to upload your data to other sites in the form of a .ged file.....which your family tree program will format. After entering your family's data into the program, at the top of your screen, under one of the subheadings across the top, one of the choices should be EXPORT GEDCOM. Your tree will then be saved as a .ged file which you can then upload to Gencirlces. Judy

Anne GC does not allow back up to gedcom as yet. Don't have Times software but if it can it will be somewhere like "Save As" or "export" Gedcom. You then import this in to Gencircles (ie show it where it is on your computer) Bob

I have just registered with Gencircles and would like to put in my tree. Is it possible from to do this from Genes Connected if so how. I also use a programme called The Times Family Tree can I use this and how. All this Gedcom business is new to me and I am at a loss with it at the moment. Any ideas greatly appriciated. Anne-Marie
