Thanks for this - I can't remember which way I entered the kids initially, and in any case I think they disappeared after having been properly visible in both parents' families originally! Anyway, I deleted all the offending individuals & re-entered them & they are now behaving correctly! Gill |

I would recommend Brothers Keeper as a Family Tree software. Try www.bkwin.com |

I've just started using the LDS' free PAF software as a way of storing my data offline & creating GEDCOM files ready for when I eventually buy some decent family tree software - but it's doing some very strange things. Eg, I have a husband & wife Flora & Frederick with 3 children. When I view Flora's family in PAF, Fred & the kids are there - but when I view Fred's family the boxes for spouse & kids are empty. I've tried re-entering them but all I do is create multiple marriages for Flora to Fred & apparently adopted children while Fred's family screen remains blank. I've exported the GEDCOM file to Gencircles and the problem persists there - the report for Flora says she is married to Fred with 3 kids, the report for Fred has no reference to wife or kids. Don't know if this has happened with other couples - discovered the problem when I tried to edit the data for one of these two. What have I done wrong? Will I have to re-enter all my data from scratch to sort it out? Help please!!! |
