I agree! I got no results from any searchrs. All I got was a pop up offering me a free trial with Ancestry. As if I would after reading the messages over the last few days!! Anne

Hi. I dare say you may have found this out for yourself by now. Ancestral findings are a link to the dreaded Ancestry.com site which many people have fallen foul of and paid money out for. As they say. Buyer Beware!!! just a thought. Jim

Hi Christine. Just went to www.ancestralfindings.com wow!!!!!! I put in my grandmothers last name Laishley. It came up zero but if you go to recommended resources at the ancestry, The laishley names came up(all of them) on the civil registration from 1837 to 1983, It even gives the page and volume for certification ordering, Thanks Philip.

I looked at that site the other day it looks quite interesting - pity I don't know my gg aunt's surname!!!! Was just looking at an educational newsletter and they recommended www(.)durham(.)gov(.)uk/recordoffice(.)usp(.)nsf which has a bit of history on the Durham Light Infantry and some interesting websites for background info
