Could anyone suggest a straightforward, low budget software package for recording my family tree? I don't want anything too complicated and there seem to be so many to choose from. |

Julie: If you want to pay for a good program, Family Tree Maker and Legacy are both excellent programs.... the cost is minimal. There is a free program you can download as well and can be found at www.genopro(.)com. Genopro allows you to input data, documents and pictures. I use both Genopro and Family Tree Maker as they both offer different things and work together. Both are also easy to use. Genopro I like because with a push of a button the information can be turned into an HTML format.....HTML being a report that works like a website and no special software is necessary to share with others.
