it would be nice if members would acknowledge messages sent to them even if there is no link.I have been left wondering if my mail gets through. Thanks to those who do take the time to reply.

Janet, yes I totally agree. Have had a few occasions recently where I've mailed people (sometimes they've mailed me with a question), and haven't had a reply. Some people just don't have any manners "young people today...." lol. Paul

No Janet it's not just you, lots of people have complained about the same thing. It's just common courtesy isn't it ?

Might I add.....common courtousy dictates those who post questions or queries on the boards should acknowledge to those that took the time to answer that they've at least come back to the boards and read the responses! {My vent for the day....sigh) Judy

I agree. we should all take time (it's only a minute) to aknowledge messages sent. On this site we ask for help and members are unstinting in help and advice to us. It enables us to proceed if we have reached a brick wall or link or omit a name in our tree we have been searching for. Courtesy and politeness I think are mandatory for all that help. After all most of us think of each other as friends now it's just the odd few who spoil things pat
