In the 1881 census it states for St Pancras Georgiana Hill aged 44 Head Kennington John Chantler aged 23 Son Gravesend Richard Chantler aged 19 Son Kentish Town Rosa Hill aged 10 Dau Maria Chantler aged 66 Mother I found out that Maria married a George Chantler in 1867 aged 52 (her first marriage) Maria's maiden name was Maria Rebecca Hall. Could the above kids be Maria's Step children and not Georgiana's as the census states? Georgianna married a John Hill in 1868 but her name was Maria Georigana Campbell not Hall. Am I reading the census wrong are Maria and the two Chantler's just staying with Georgiana or is there something that I'm reading? Oh and to put the spanner in the works - I found John's birth cert and it states his mother was Georgiana Hall - how'ss that for confusion. Anyway directions would be greatly appreciated for the sake of my sanity. Linda
