Philip; Where are you trying to upload it to? I save my tree from my home programme (FTM) onto a re-writeable cd (great for updating) then use it to upload onto GC and Gencircles and Tribal pages. The format I used was GEDCOM as it is like a universal geno format to fit most family tree programmes. If you are trying to upload to GC, then the tree here needs to be totally blank, except for your name. I have noticed it gives some really strange eror messages sometimes but the tree appears on GC anyway! I have deleted and reload mine 3 times coz I don't want to sit here for hours typing in new info. It gets very tedious adding moe than half a dozen the way GC has it set up!! HTH

I Have no luck adding my family tree to gedcom, keep getting a message about it should not contain my name in the tree, Any ideas? Philip.

When you put your tree onto another with gedcom, do all your notes go with it as well or is it just the names and dates of people you are researching? Sue.................
