No there is no mails hidden or anywhere, the contacts have gone as hve the sent items, and the deleted items, it is all as if I only got outlook yesterday... KIM |

Kim, The only other thing I can suggest is you have a search around on the net, Maybe there is something on there. Very Bizarre!, and extremely annoying as I don't believe you can get the emails back, I back up once a month now, just incase!. If you discover away of getting the emails back let me know. THANKYOU,Keren, have looked at that but I'm not running Mcafee at all so why did it happen to me? And why did it not happen to the other inboxes all outlook express for the other users on this computer. Completely mystified. KIM |

Hi Kim, The same thing happened to me a year ago, I found this site on the web that explained why it happened to me, I'm on Macafee antivirus software and use Outlook express. Have a look http://www(.)infosatellite(.)com/news/2001/10/a271001mcafee_flaw.html Hope it helps Keren |

no its all the emails alldeleted items and sent items since whenever i emptied it last , the only messeage I got was welcome to outlook express , the rest of the details are completely blank including the contacts list and the deleted items. which is so weird, where would they go and how do i get them back it just says "there are not items to display"? Kim. |

Kim, Is it just the bar on the left hand side of the screen (supposing you're using MS Outlook) that's disappeared - if so, you may need to expand the file list. Can't recall exactly what I did, but it happened to me once. Don't panic, I expect it's OK. Do let us know the outcome. Regs Jane |

well I don't think my children would know how to delete everthing and make it come up like new , they move things around, but they're not that clever, anyway its on a password to get in and they only go in on their names usually. KIM |

Kim have you tried System Restore. I don't know if it will work in this situation but it is worth a try. A bit of a puzzle this one. I am not that techi but there is an American girl who comes on this Board, with a bit of luck she will see your message. Sandra |

Well i've run virus checker BEFORE This and after nothing found and am on xp , all the other named uses on outlook express are ok andso are the other accounts on my set up . i am mystfied how it can disappear and re set it self up with nothing on! KIM |

Could be a virus I suppose. But have you got in touch with your ISP it may be a problem their end. What programme are you using? Sandra |

Why would all my email suddenly disappear? outbox inbox deleted and everything is all clear as if I am anew user ,but I havent pressed anything different? ANYONE know why? KIM |
