Go to the site 1914-18.net. Click on discussion forum, click on soldiers and post your query. You will probably need to join to receive replies but it's free, a lot of the people on the forum have reference books etc. Regards Christina

Hello Della All the records for WW1 and WW2 are at the National archives Kew. You will have to visit to see them. You can now visit the website and see the Medal Rolls index which they are putting online throughout 2004. They have surnames A to B on now. also, you could look at the leaflets explaining exactly what they do have for the Army. http://www(.)pro(.)gov(.)uk/index(.)htm Shirley

Have an ancestor who was killed in WW1. I have found a likely match on war graves commission site, but don't know for sure as they do not have age etc. They do have his service number, however, and I would now like to look it up to confirm the entry is my relly. Does anyone know of a web site where I can look up his service number and get his details? Della
