Do you have a LDS Centre near you? They will be able to order films of the Bishops Transcripts for many churches. Have a look on the familysearch website, you can find out what is available and where your nearest centre is.

Thank you for that I will try both your suggestions. Wonder if anyone going to Preston Records office?

Hello Sally If you go to http://www(.)manchester(.)gov(.)uk/libraries/arls/ which is Manchester Archives and Local Studies they will let you know what parish records have been copied and where they are. But, I don't think Bishops transcripts have been copied yet. Shirley

Sally I've had a look and there are some transciptions for the area of Lancs that you are looking at. Try www(.)ffhs(.)co(.)uk and go to the lancashire bit. I'm not sure if they are Bishop's transcripts but they might help. If not, try contacting the Fam Hist Soc for Lancs direct and see if they can help. Rachel

I really need help from someone, who can give me advice or view Bishops Transcripts for Penwortham Lancs. Would be willing to pay costs.
