Freda. Some of my ancestors were baptised in St Peters Dale End. I've got a note saying that the church was built 1825-27, consecrated 1837 and demolished 1899...but that does seem soon to demolish it....anyway, lots of information about churches on spencer.onlinehome.de/brum.html You might enjoy the site Virtualbrum, too. I think Dale End still exists. Joan

Joan ive tried your site, and got the info from the churches section, then i had a scoot round and found another which told me it was closed for demolition in 1899, so it didnt last very long. Apparantly it was damaged by fire in the 1830s so i think it was reconsecrated in 1837, it was a sister church i think to St Philips. At least I have a bit more info to work on, im up in Cumbria so every little helps, thanks again. Freda

Thanks Karen i now know that B/Ham library hold the marriage and baptism records, three of my grt grndparents children where born in B/Ham, it takes quite a lot of detective work dosent it, they moved up to Lancashire in the late 1870s, but i think my grndfather moved back to B/Ham 1890 as his eldest daughter was born there, then he came up north again moved about quite a bit. thanks Freda
